Hello, sweets!!! 🙂 5 days until Christmas….are you all ready?? 🙂 Aaaah I can’t wait for my super long weekend (literally!) A much deserved break. I wish my family is here cause I know it would be perfect to spend my free time with them. A lot of things can remind us about Christmas, for me I can think of 5 right off the top of my head. One of which is food,and I swear, as we draw closer to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I am already starting to get worried about my game plan because I know it will be non-stop eating for me!!!!
Summer is the perfect time for my smoothies. Everyone who is close to me knows that I could drink a 12oz smoothie in just seconds!
I am very particular with the smoothies that I drink. I only like fresh fruits and natural sweetener.
This summer, I was able to experiment with some of my favorite fruits and beat the heart with a nice homemade healthy cold smoothie!
And of course, my trusty pink blender was there to help!

Hello, dolls! 🙂 3 years ago, October to me was just the month before my birthday, or my Mom’s birthday month,but since her birthday falls on the first week of October, I deliberately forget the month’s essence right after.. HA. Tomorrow is A’s birthday, and before I get anxious about my birthday surprise for him, I will share with you snippets from his birthday last year. I don’t know how I will be able to top his food adventure filled celebration in Hong Kong but thank heavens for giving me 3 days to give him a memorable one this year. Hint: we will be away from Baltimore again!!! (yay!)

This mall is too gorgeous for words! All the good stores (and when I say good, I mean high-end designer brands) are here…but since our Hong Kong trip was all about food, I had to stop myself from dragging A to stores that will take our time from visiting restaurants.Don’t worry, he gave me all the time in the world during our recent trip to Bangkok! 🙂

Hello, dolls!! 🙂 How was your cinco de mayo? I hope it wasn’t just another lazy Monday, cause mine was AWESOME. I know the Philippines is not big on cinco de mayo, but America is, and I am so glad that I can celebrate and not look weird for being too excited about it. The night before cinco de mayo, something hit me, I saw the scarf that my brother #jejekid gave me 2 years ago. I thought that it was really perfect for the day — the festive colors representing cinco de mayo and the soft texture fit for spring. I pulled it out of my closet and as a habit, I smelled it (yes, I smell my clothes haha) but that’s not what’s important — it smelled like home. The mixed feelings that I got when I smelled the scarf brought me to tears and gave me this certain excitement. I can’t wait to go home and be with my piggies again, I can’t wait to cook for my family again and see my Dad happy, I can’t wait for our travel plans to happen — I CAN’T WAIT!

Of afternoon baking at home
Hello, dolls! 🙂 So today is family day, but I keep on forgetting that Sundays here are…different. Back at home, I would usually wake up with my Dad’s “Sunday music” playing on the radio and be greeted with a table full of delicious home-cooked Sunday lunch. Today, I woke up shaking my head cause it’s the first time after almost 2 weeks that I got out of bed at 9AM (uhh!!!). In my defense, we lost an hour today because of daylight saving so the clock went forward. So yeah, after a night full of awesomeness and F-U-N, I am just this sore and exhausted lass waiting for Monday and Tuesday to come.
I’ve did a couple of afternoon baking here in the apartment and I wish I have my other 5 favorite people to cook for here. Today reminded me of how different things are…of how patience matter… and how sacrifice creates an impact in our lives. So yeah, I will end this sappy note now and just move on with my kitchen entry.
Last year when I got home I told myself that I will be going back to the basics —- basics of cooking and baking.
You know how sometimes we just jump into something B I G? And how we overlook the importance of small things.
I thought to myself that if I want to be “big” someday, I should muster up the small things first…the basics.
